Our evaluation went very well. Brett kicked it off by saying "hi" to our speech therapist. Of couse, he was just sweetening her up so he could see what goodies she had in her bag this week. They've met some of their yearly goal, some will be continued, and new ones have been made. Brett did amazingly well in the chair today so we didn't even have to put him in his swing. He even ate a gummy bear, in fact, two gummy bears. Previously he would only put them UP to his mouth, but not IN his mouth. We were very excited about this progress since textures are such a big deal to him. Hopefully all the oral-motor exercises I've been doing with both the boys are paying off. He has been attempting to count to four and has been trying to repeat "stop scaring her." It's a quote off of Diego. He says it so emphatically. It's so cute. He also copies his Uncle David in counting his "four eyes" (Uncle David wears glasses.). Both boys copy me when I skip. It's something they really enjoy, giggling the whole time. They are both using the sign for open and more. Each of them says o-en for open. Blake actually ate several pieces of egg sandwich today. I have been desperate in getting him to try new things. I was ecstatic watching him eat that sandwich today! I'm thinking he'll like it even more with cheese in it, so we'll try that next time. Blake's favortie word is "whoa." He used it a lot last weekend at Chik-fil-a in the play area when the bigger kids were pushing. The pushing didn't bother him at all, it was like a game and he just pushed back.

For the boys future, we have several options. We are not putting them in the public school system, that much we know. We are looking at a special needs preschool in Gainesville for starters. We could possibly keep private OT and ST. Another option is a mother's morning out program at a therapy center in Lawrenceville. There is a speech summer camp in Gainesville that's another possibility. They also have a preschool program starting in the fall. Many, many options! We trust that God will lead us down the right path and that to worry is a waste of energy.
