The Results Are In!

After two weeks, but more feeling like an eternity, we received the boys heavy metal testing results. And they aren't too pretty. We're dealing with Antimony, Arsenic, Beryllium, Bismuth, Cadmium, Copper, Lead, Nickel (off the charts), Thallium, Tungsten, and an awful lot of Uranium. We all come into contact with these metals everyday. They're in our air, soil, water, utensils...everywhere. We can clear these metals out of our bodies without trouble, but many autistic children can't. This is what causes the bizarre behaviors of many of these children. Dr. Sloan explained that he doesn't look at how much we were able to get out, but rather what is in there. The longer you chelate, the more you get out until you hit a plateau and start coming back down. So the results we see now is not as high as it's going to get. Brett's results were higher than Blake's but it may be that Blake is just harder to chelate. A positive, there were no mercury issues, but that could also be because mercury is harder to chelate out of the body. What we do know is the medication we used prior to this test does work, so that's what we'll be continuing. We'll retest after a bit and the whole process should take about six months. A funny in the whole ordeal: Don asked what the heck uranium is. I told him, "the stuff that Iran and North Korea are trying so darned hard to enrich, honey, so they can blow us up." Scary that this stuff is in my little boys' bodies!
